Freedom is a 70ft x 12ft widebeam canal boat available in the Bath area for B&B and events. Freedom is our home – you will be sharing the space with us the hosts during your stay. There is a 100 watt hifi setup for music plus a Yamaha C2 grand piano, guitar, ukelele, huge roof deck plus a stern deck for relaxing and feeding the swans on the river.
We have 2 double rooms, a double sofa bed, 2 hammocks and a rooftop tent. Maximum overnight guests 8 with the owners sleeping in the tent and 3 of you sharing the saloon sofa bed & hammock. You can book B&B directly by contacting us and paying in advance. Otherwise use Airbnb for booking your stay (up to 18% extra with their commission).
Dinner is available as an optional extra: £20/person. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements for breakfast before you arrive. Breakfast is included the price for overnight guests.

| Riverside hammock berth This is a small self-contained space (the bow deck) with a very basic setup: an unusual budget stay on the canal boat Freedom. Sleep under a covered roof at the bow of the boat in your own private berth: a hammock space overlooking the water. Perfect for adventurous travellers, cyclists and backpackers looking for the cheapest private bed in Bath. Just a hammock, compost toilet and lapping sounds of the river. A perfect berth for feeding the swans on the Avon. There is a covered waterproof roof but the sides are partly open (other than hanging courtesy drapes) and not secured. The space is immediately outside the doors to Captain’s Cabin. Many guests have slept here including in central London. During the day (7am to 10pm) you have access to the shared spaces inside Freedom and the garden roof deck. Free tea and coffee and an opportunity to play the Yamaha C2 grand piano or guitar. Please note this is very basic partly outdoor accommodation most suitable for fair weather stays and for guests comfortable with simple camping-style facilities. | Rooftop tent (double). Access by climbing up from the towpath or via the steps up through the sunroof. The tent is on the 40ft x 11ft roof deck. Access to the bathroom at night via the sunroof ladder or gunwales and stern deck. Only available commercially at certain river locations due to limitations of our Canal & River Trust licence.
